Nest bedding Alexander Signature Hybrid Mattress Review
Nest bedding has more of a unique selling approach for their mattresses. They believe everyone should have a specific mattress for their body type, they offer a hybrid mattress, a few foam mattresses, & even a few latex options. Their hybrid mattress is one of the better ones within the industry, it provides the right comfort balance without being too springy. They also have 10 plus showrooms where you can try all of their products. When companies have showrooms, it tells me they are confident about the comfort and quality of their product, which is great to see.
Construction of the Nest bedding Hybrid Mattress
Here is the construction of the 13.5” Nest bedding signature hybrid Mattress
- 1.5” Top layer – Gel infused memory foam, which helps the mattress be cool, it also has a soft quilter thermic phase change cover which provides you with instant cooling.
- 1.5” Second layer – Titanchill endurance foam®
- 1.5″ Third layer – Copper infused energex foam
- 1″ Fourth Layer– Smartflow Foam- this layer will provide great support for the mattress.
- 8″ Base Layer – Quantum edge pocketed support coils – this layer is the backbone of the mattress, it provides great support and bounce to the mattress. It also provides great recovery time to the mattress.
Nest Bedding Mattress Firmness/motion transfer/edge support
Firmness- The Nest Bedding Signature series comes in two different firmness levels, the Luxury firm and Medium Firm, we have the medium firmness. We rate this as 7 out of 10. When you first lay on the mattress it may seem a tad hard, but after a few minutes, you sink in enough and receive all the comfort and support it has to offer.
Motion Transfer- Motion transfer is hardly noticeable on this mattress. Mattresses with springs/coils typically have more motion transfer than foam mattresses, but Nest has found a way to minimize motion transfer.
Edge Support- The edge support on the medium firm Nest Bedding Hybrid mattress is really good. Not as much edge support as the signature series mattress, but it holds it own. Side sleepers should really enjoy this mattress.
Nest Bedding Mattress Cooling/Off gassing
Cooling- The Nest Bedding hybrid mattress is super cooling. Having springs at the bottom of the mattress allows for way better air circulation compared to a all foam mattress. It also has a layer of gel infused foam for the top layer which happens to be a cooler foam. It also has a cover for that has quilted thermic phase change fabric, which will help you stay cool throughout the night.
Off Gassing- This mattress has very low off gassing, I have noticed that Nest Bedding mattresses have very little off gassing compared to other mattresses. They should be all ready to go within 12-18 hours once unpacked.
How many years will the Nest Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress last me?
The Nest Bedding Hybrid mattress is made with great quality of foam and pocketed coils. It should last you about 10-12 years. The mattress shouldn’t give in during that span either because of the pocket coils and how they always spring back up. Here’s a tip to prolong the life of your mattress: If you rotate the mattress 180 degrees every 6 months you should maintain that same comfort for the next decade.
Nest Bedding Mattress Warranty/trial period
Warranty- Nest Bedding offers a lifetime warranty for the life of the mattress.
Trial Period- Nest Bedding offers a 100 night trial period, will take returns no questions asked.
Shipping- Nest bedding offers free shipping.

Conclusion
Summary of the Nest Bedding Hybrid Mattress
The Nest Bedding Hybrid Mattress is one of the better hybrids in the market. One thing I noticed right away about the mattress is how cooling it is. It also has very low motion transfer which is a bit more rare for hybrid mattresses.. The firm and luxury firm firmness levels will work great for back, side and stomach sleepers. They provide very good edge support and weight gets distributed quite evenly. The soft firmness will work best for back sleepers if you like sinking into the mattress, I wouldn’t recommend it for other sleeping positions. Overall this mattress is great, definitely worth a try.
