Gel Memory Foam: $399-$899

Nectar Mattress Review
Nectar has been around for a bit over a year & has taken the mattress industry by storm. They have an unbeatable 365 night trial period, which is unheard of & others mattress companies have followed suit. They also have a forever warranty, where most online mattress companies offer 10 year warranties. They provide a nice dense foam mattress which is quite cooling as well. They launched in early 2017 with a great mattress at a great, which seemed to good to be true, but 2 years later they are still going strong and providing great value to all consumers.
Construction of the Nectar Mattress
The Nectar Mattress is a 4 layered mattress made up of high quality materials. Here is the construction of the Nectar Mattress
- 1″ Top Comfort Layer (1 & 2 on the image below) – Nectars cover is made with Tencel & has 1” of gel memory foam quilted into it. That makes the cover very breathable & cooling.
- 1″ Support Layer (3 on the image below) – This is a gel memory foam layer that provides cooling and great pressure release.
- 3″ Transition Layer (4 on the image below) – Nectar calls this their adaptive Hi Core Memory Foam. It’s a nice dense foam that provides great pressure relief.
- 6″ Base Layer(5 on the image below) – This base layer is pretty typical for most memory foam mattress it’s provides great support.
Nectar Mattress Firmness/motion transfer/edge support
Firmness- The Nectar firmness level is around a 6.5, it’s right in the sweet spot. The mattress sinks in just the right amount so there is no bottoming out. When you lay in the mattress contours to your body without sinking too much. The Nectar Mattress also has a quick recovery time for a dense foam mattress. It only comes in one firmness, but should work for every sleeping position.
Motion Transfer- The Nectar Mattress has little to no motion transfer, with most memory foam motion transfer usually isn’t an issue, but there is almost none with the nectar. You can toss and turn as much as you want & you won’t upset that significant other.
Edge Support- The Nectar mattress provides great edge support, perfect for side sleepers. With most foam mattress that is one concerns for most people, but that won’t be the case with the Nectar.
Nectar Mattress Cooling/Off gassing
Cooling- The Nectar Mattress is nice and cooling, the Tencel cover with is nice and breathable so airs able to escape and the mattress doesn’t get hot. With Dense foam Mattresses you would expect for it to be on the warmer side, but Nectar’s mattress is constructed in a way where it remains nice and cool.
Off Gassing- The Nectar Mattress does have a slight off gassing, but it should go away within 24-48 hours. Just make sure to give time to recover and breathe once removed out of its packaging.
How many years will the Nectar Mattress last me?
The Nectar Mattress should last you anywhere from 8-10 years. The reason it will last this long without deteriorating is because of the density of the mattress. If you rotate the mattress 180 degrees every 6 months you should maintain that same comfort for the next decade.
Nectar Mattress Warranty/trial period
Warranty- Nectar offers a forever warranty for the life of the mattress.
Trial Period- Nectar offers a 365 night trial period, will take returns no questions asked.
Shipping- Nectar offers free shipping on all nectar mattresses.
