Foam Coil Hybrid: $995-$1995

Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress Review
Brentwood home is one of the mattress companies that is vertically integrated. What that means is they manufacture their own mattresses. Brentwood has more of a luxury mattress line, but since they make their own mattresses, they don’t cost an arm and a leg.. They have quite the variety of mattresses too, they have latex, hybrids, and foams. Brentwood has been around for over 25 years, so it’s definitely a brand you can trust.
Construction of the Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress
Here is the construction of the 14” Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress
- Tencel Stretch Knit Cover + New Zealand Wool- sustainable materials that provide nice cooling
- 2-inch Gel Memory Foam- Helps provide another layer of cooling & limits motion transfer as well
- 2.5-inch Individually Wrapped Microcoils- This layer of individually wrapped coils helps provides the right support for any sleeping position
- 2-inch Airlux Foam- Provides more airflow to the mattress, helping it be cooler than most hybrids
- 8-inch Individually Wrapped Base Coils- These coils provides great support for you back and shoulders, it also provides some edge support
Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress Firmness/motion transfer/edge support
Firmness- The Brentwood Home Oceano is about a 5.5 for firmness. The microcoils at the top of the mattress do a really good job of not letting you sink in too much or too to little. Hybrids typically seem to bit more firm, so the oceano is quite refreshing.
Motion Transfer- Motion transfer is slightly noticeable on this mattress, but not enough to where it is concerning..
Edge Support- The edge support on the oceano is fine, the microcoils do help it from sinking in to much, if you are a side sleeper you might want something a tad firmer.
Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress Cooling/Off gassing
Cooling- The Brentwood Oceano offers great cooling. Having coils at 2 different spots of the mattress really lets airflow pass quite easily. They also have wool near the top of the mattress so you feel the coolness almost immediately. The cooling also lasts throughout the night too, which is always a perk.
Off Gassing- This mattress had almost no off gassing, we still recommend airing the mattress out for 24 hours.
How many years will the Brentwood Home Oceano last me?
The Brentwood Home Oceano mattress is made with great quality ingredients. It should last you about 10-12 years. Here’s a tip to prolong the life of your mattress: If you rotate the mattress 180 degrees every 6 months you should maintain that same comfort for the next decade.
Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress Warranty/trial period
Warranty- Brentwood Home offers a lifetime warranty for the life of the mattress

Conclusion
Summary of the Brentwood Home Oceano Mattress
The Brentwood Home Oceano mattress is seriously one of the best hybrids out there. It is one of the most luxurious beds in the market & reminds us of a high end hotel mattress (you know the one you always want, but it costs $20,000). The Oceano offers great support and comfort and is ideal for back and stomach sleepers. It’s also super super cooling, so if you’re a sleeper that tends to get warm, you’ll love this mattress. We definitely recommend the Brentwood Oceano.
